Environmental Council
Meeting Time: Every other Friday at 10 am

Charge: to implement and support campus related environmental commitment as outlined in the EMS and SPOA; to identify areas where improvements can be made then acting as a facilitator on innovation and change to improve our operations in a sustainable matter; to act as a clearinghouse for information on sustainability issues, then connecting relevant individuals on campus to implement change; and to serve as liaison with national and local organizations AASHE, ACUPCC, and MN Waste Wise.
Safety
Meeting Time: Bi-Monthly on Wednesdays 2-3pm

Charge: To review reports of property damage and personal injury accidents and alleged hazardous working conditions, to provide support for a strong safety program, to review building security issues, and to review and recommend safety policies to the appointing authority.
Student Research Advisory Committee

Charge: To discuss, coordinate and communicate a variety of issues impacting LSC's new student research initiative, starting with a focus on STEM subjects and expanding eventually to other disciplines (and possibly some student clubs) campus wide; To host an annual student research expo.

Developmental Education Committee

Charge: To retain developmental students and help them achieve their academic goals; to collaborate on and communicate about issues impacting developmental education at LSC; to define developmental education goals and bring forth new initiative; and to create a visible presence- to be seen as the "go-to" team for all matters impacting developmental education.
