Year and Major: Respiratory Therapist I have been Pre-Dental for the past 3 years until my family and I were in a car crash that has left me with some sever injuries. I have now dedicated my time and energy to the Respiratory Program. I have a set of twin daughters who are 11 years old and a son who is a year old. I have always felt compelled to be more active at my school and this is the perfect opportunity.

Beth Johnson
Year and Major: Second Year, Medical Administrative Secretary

Hello! My name is Beth Johnson and I am your current Secretary of the Student Senate. I have great passion for this job and I hope to continue.

I am involved with the Event Planners Board, Business Professionals of America, Knitting Club, and sit on a wide range of campus and Senate ad-hoc committees. I am trying to implement a meal card plan here at LSC and also trying to find ways to advertise student and club accomplishments.

I have a strong presence on this campus and am pretty good at answering students’ questions. A lot of my ideas come from past experience on other Student Senates. I received my Associate in Arts from Bemidji State University, and have a Band Instrument Repair Diploma from MN State College-Southeast Technical.

I enjoy reading, fishing, Kool-Aid, and Michael Jackson. My favorite animal is the camel.

Kevin Malec

Currently serving as Treasures of the Senate and hoping to be able to continue serving the students.

Brian Sanner

I’m a motivated and active student working toward a career in Bio Medical Engineering. I want to gain as much as possible from my education experience here at LSC, and give back to the school and community. Thank You, Brian Sanner

Chandra Shoberg
Year and Major: 3rd year, 1st year in PTA program

As the current President of LSC Student Senate, I strive to represent LSC student when working with administration, legislators, and community members. I have represented the LSC students on the local, state, and national levels. As a 3rd year student at LSC, I have gained an understanding of my fellow students. I promise to listen to the thoughts and suggestions of all the LSC students. Please vote for me, so I can continue to serve you.

Justin Stutsman
Year and Major: Second Year- Fire Technology

I am a leading individual that is looking to be in an active role, besides being a student, in my school. I have time to devote to the senate, and to be involved with LSC, and the students who attend the school. The senate is a great opportunity for making a difference and becoming more aware of LSC and student activities. In my term, I expect to become a person who is involved with decisions concerning LSC and its students, and to be an active part on deciding on items that are brought to the senate.

Ashley L Winkler
Year and Major: 3rd, AA

I’ve worked as a PCA for 3+ years. I believe I would be a good asset to the Student Senate, I think I would add a little diversity and my ultimate goal is to graduate from LSC, to go to UWS for Journalism and Political Science. Then from there apply to graduate schools to get my masters in Political Journalism. I intend to apply for the public relations position and I believe I have a lot to offer to Student Senate, I work extremely well with people on a professional basis.
